Born in 1965 in the village of Pfinzweiler in Baden-Württemberg in Germany. Heidrun is completely self-taught. In 2018 Heidrun and her husband moved to live permanently in Madeira, inspired by the unique landscape, its oceanic setting and the explosive colours of the fauna and flora. She is a prominent figure in the local international art community in Madeira.

Heidrun  has already been represented at exhibitions and international art fairs including Baden-Baden, Mannheim, Island Sylt, and has received several art awards. In Portugal, she participated in several exhibitions that took place in Art Center Caravel.
Heidrun is an experimental artist using a spatula technique to create 3D dimension abstract art.  We can confidently call her works unique pieces of abstract art in Portugal.
